Tyler Perry’s Contract With BET Ends Soon. BET + has great streaming programs. In fact, BET Plus is one of my favorite streaming services.
Some TV shows have a huge audience (Sistas, Ruthless, Assisted Living, The Oval, House of Payne). At one point, I thought BET would fold. Not only that but, all of Perry’s plays can be seen.
However, since Perry partnered with BET programs are viewed by millions. Perry’s actual partnership is with Viacom and Paramount Global. Can you believe that Perry makes $150 million per year?
But it is possible Perry may move on. Especially, if he is offered more money and opportunity. In other words, Perry could make the switch to Netflix.
According to Black Enterprise, BET + has over 1.5 million subscribers. And, that was in the month of February. I can imagine the subscribers have increased since then.
Although Netflix stock has decreased, it may still be a good fit for Perry. Of course, Perry has other offers to consider. There are other streaming services (Apple TV, Peacock, Amazon Prime) to consider.
All of those streaming services have good programming. Nevertheless, Perry will make the best choice, I suspect. After all, he is a phenomenal producer and director.
Furthermore, Perry has reached billionaire status. Therefore, he has time to consider his options carefully. At any rate, Perry continues to provide us with great entertainment
