Did DaBaby Steal ‘Boogeyman’ Song?

Did DaBaby Steal ‘Boogeyman’ Song? As you might know, DaBaby dropped his latest music yesterday. Now, a Canadian artist accuses him of biting her song.

DaBaby ‘Boogeyman’ Stolen

Did DaBaby Steal ‘Boogeyman’ Song? Jonathan ’DaBaby’ Kirk has been in a whirlwind of foolishness throughout his career.

For example, the height of his success was met with news that he killed a man in Walmart. However, that was seen as an act of self defense.

Not to mention, his aggressive behavior that has resulted in countless physical alterations. Namely, between the mother of his youngest daughter DaniLeigh and her family.

Of course, his latest project Baby on Baby 2 hit streaming platforms yesterday (September 23rd.)

Immediately, the lead single Boogeyman garnered lots of backlash. Initially, the masses shared their outlook on him allegedly sleeping with Megan Thee Stallion. Multiple times!

Now, Toronto artist Layla Hendryx is calling bullshit. Allegedly, the North Carolina rapper plagiarized her song for the aforementioned single. And she’s calling him out.

Did Baby Steal From A Lesser Known Artist?

Well, here’s a reminder on some of the lyrics:

“You play with me that sh*t was childish/The day before she said that Tory Lanez shot her, I was f**kin on Megan Thee Stallion/Waited to say that sh*t on my next album/Hit it the day before too/But I kept it player, I ain’t say nothing ’bout it.”

Again, Hendryx claims he copied her flow. As well as, used the same title to name the song. Here’s what Layla shared via Rolling Stone and Twitter:

“The whole flow for the hook is stolen from me… One, it was done so sheisty, and two, the fact that he used the song to basically diss another black woman while you’re stealing from another black woman is just wild to me.”

Obviously, Layla Hendryx doesn’t appreciate the disrespect. Apparently, she intends to take legal action against Kirk.

She continued:

“Just to be clear I went on record & said my song had a sample in it it’s the way it was used and it being named the same that’s craaazy to me.”

Who knows where this situation is heading. Stay tuned for more updates!
