It is not the first time Gervonta has been accused of allegedly assaulting women. His ex-girlfriend Courtney Rossel claimed Gervonta assaulted her.
She allegedly filed a civil lawsuit against him for aggravated battery and false imprisonment. Before this alleged incident,
Gervonta was accused of similar charges against his children’s mother.
However, later, the same year, charges against his children’s mother were dismissed. These charges were dropped because she and another witness refused to cooperate with prosecutors.
Shortly after, Courtney alleged experiencing abuse by the boxer. It appears this alleged abuse occurred on more than one occasion.
Latest Accusations Of Devonta Abusing A Woman
In late 2025, the Miami Gardens Police Department issued an arrest warrant for Gervonta Davis. This followed a violent incident at a local gentleman’s club, as mentioned earlier.
The warrant stems from an alleged assault on October 27, 2025, involving an ex-girlfriend who worked at the establishment. According to a lawsuit and police reports, the incident involved:
- Physical Assault: Davis is accused of grabbing the victim by the head and throat before forcibly dragging her through several areas of the club, including a kitchen and stairwell.
- Formal Charges: The charges associated with the warrant include false imprisonment, battery, and attempted kidnapping.
- 2023: A sentence of 90 days of home detention for a 2020 hit-and-run incident in Baltimore that injured four people.

The Miami Gardens Police Department has been working with the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force to locate and apprehend the boxer. At this time, Dervonta has not been arrested. But it appears an arrest is imminent.
