Fearing a harsh penalty, the rapper paid $600,000 to political lobbyists who falsely claimed they could secure clemency on his behalf before his court date.   

Rapper Boosie Badazz recently sat down on Rickey Smiley On The Spot to address allegations that he was scammed. Apparently, Boosie is out up to $600,000 by government lobbyists promising a federal presidential pardon.

During the interview, host Rickey Smiley asked Boosie about his ongoing legal efforts.  He also spoke about the financial ordeal surrounding his attempt to secure a pardon from Donald Trump. Boosie detailed how he was approached by intermediaries while facing legal pressure over previous gun and marijuana possession charges.

“What had happened was, some government lobbyists came to me and said, ‘We can walk in and get you a pardon from Trump.’ At first I wasn’t going to entertain it, but I was under pressure.” — Boosie Badazz

Demanding Answers and Demanding Refunds

According to Boosie, after receiving probation rather than needing the pardon, he realized the promised clearance was never signed. He immediately demanded a full refund of the funds he had handed over—reported to be around $600,000.

When a month passed without a refund, Boosie decided to take legal action by filing a lawsuit. He emphasized his resolve to hold those accountable, telling Smiley,

“I don’t know who y’all think y’all is, but I am a powerful Black man”.
