Singer Ne-Yo Is Being Sued For Vicious Dog Attack

Singer Ne-Yo Is Being Sued For Vicious Dog Attack. R&B singer is facing legal trouble after a delivery worker filed a lawsuit alleging she was attacked by a dog at his Georgia home.

R&B Star Ne-Yo Facing Lawsuit Over Dog Attack

Before establishing himself as a global solo star, Ne-Yo first gained industry prominence as a sought-after songwriter.  Penning Mario’s massive 2004 hit “Let Me Love You”. He quickly launched his own solo recording career. That included his 2006 debut album, “In My Own Words.”

It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 behind the smash single “So Sick”. Over the course of his multi-decade career, the three-time Grammy Award winner has delivered a string of hit singles. Some of my favorites were “Because of You,” “Closer,” and “Miss Independent”. While continuing to write major tracks for iconic artists such as Beyoncé (“Irreplaceable”) and Rihanna (“Take a Bow”). Beyond music, he has expanded his reach across media through acting, high-profile TV appearances, and executive roles within the music industry.

According to court documents, delivery worker Dominique Bridgett claims she was lawfully delivering a package to Ne-Yo’s property around July 12, 2025, when a dog on the premises attacked her.

Alleged Injuries & Financial Claims

  • Alleged Injuries: Bridgett claims she suffered severe bodily injury, pain, shock, and emotional distress as a result of the incident.

  • Financial Damages: The lawsuit states she has incurred $9,039.50 in medical bills and is seeking full reimbursement, along with additional damages.

  • Legal Grounds: The suit argues that Ne-Yo is legally liable for the injuries because the attack occurred on his residential property.

Current Status

The allegations remain unproven in court, and representatives for Ne-Yo have not yet publicly responded to requests for comment. Coverage from Foxy 99 notes that this case follows a similar high-profile suit involving singer Chris Brown, where a former housekeeper was awarded nearly $13 million by a jury.
