Serena Williams Invest In Karat Tech. One thing Williams knows how to do is pay it forward. And, her mission this time, is to help Black engineers. Her endeavor is to get more Black engineers hired.

Apparently, there is only 5% of Black software engineers work in the industry, as reported by Afrotech. Hopefully, more Black engineers will be hired. Here is what Williams shared,

“The technology industry is focused on solving some of the world’s biggest challenges that impact all of us. My focus is ensuring the solutions to those challenges are developed by all of us,” Williams said in the press release. “There has never been a shortage of brilliance in Black America; only limited access and opportunities extended to our community. That is why I am proud to team up with companies like Karat who are taking actionable steps to bring more diversity and equity to the industry, as well as call on others to be part of the change.”

Not only that, but Williams is getting support from other organizations like Karat. She admits that there is a shortage of software engineers. Also, there is a high demand for it.

Therefore, helping to bridge the divide will benefit Blacks. In addition, she wants to search for talent from the same source. Thereby, solving the issue of getting great talent.

Also, co-founder Mohit Bhenbde and the CEO of Karat agree. This joint venture will have a great impact on the software industry.

Williams has been dedicating her time and efforts to creating more opportunities for Blacks. Certainly, her efforts will pay off.
