Megan Thee Stallion’s Legal Woes W 1501 CE

Megan Thee Stallion’s Legal Woes W 1501 CE. Megan claims label execs are draining funds. What is really happening?

Is 1501 Certified Entertainment Stealing From Megan?

Megan Thee Stallion’s Legal Woes W 1501 CE. Here is what Megan Pete is claiming,

1501 Certified Entertainments execs Carl Crawford, J. Prince, and Gee Roberson are depleting money.

In other words, she is not getting paid, but they are. TMZ reports that Crawford, Prince, and Roberson are allegedly lining their pockets.

However, Megan is not receiving any of the millions from the account. Megan admits the primary account has less than $10K, allegedly.

What happened to the rest of the money is a mystery. Or is what Megan is claiming true? The rapper has filed a lawsuit against 1501 Certified Entertainment.

In the lawsuit, Megan states 1501 CE may be siphoning millions from the company. Billboard reports 1501 CE is trying to make itself “judgment-proof.”

At least, that is what Megan is suggesting. These legal woes have been going on for a while.

In addition, Megan mentions she can allegedly prove Crawford, Prince, and Roberson are pilfering money.

Alex Shapiro, Megan’s attorney, states, “This is indentured servitude.” Crawford was advised to hold 1501’s funds in reserve.

But that did not happen. It dawned on me. It is possible Megan signed a 360 Slave Deal.

Apparently, Megan signed an “unconscionable” record deal in 2018. This type of agreement is well below industry standards.

When Megan signed with Jay-Z’s RocNation, her contract was reviewed; this is when RocNations attorneys saw the errors.

Did Megan Sign A 360 Slave Deal?

We have talked about rappers signing 360 Slave Deals before. In this sort of record deal,

“The new artist signs this 360 deal and gives up almost all of their rights to distribution, autonomy, musical performances, licensing, merchandising, publishing etc. Unfortunately, this practice of signing 360 deals are primarily reserved for the hip hop artist.”

Of course, we can only speculate if that is what Megan signed. From my observation, it does seem familiar. Especially since Megan’s attorneys mentioned her deal was “unconscionable.”

Simply put, Megan was allegedly duped. At the same time, 1501 CE attorney Kenneth D.Freundlich, said,

“The allegations are without merit and we are confident that 1501 will prevail on these motions and ultimately recover the substantial money that Ms. Pete owes 1501.”

The sad reality is Megan may not recover anything. And her lawsuit may be held up for years.

If that is the case, 1501 CE will have depleted accounts. At this point, Megan needs the judge to appoint a third party. Otherwise, it’s hopeless.
