Many young American teens were seen wearing Adidas sneakers and sweatsuits.

Run DMC, consisting of Joseph “Run” Simmons, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, and the late Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell, emerged in the 1980s.

With their groundbreaking fusion of rap and rock.

They revolutionized the music scene and became cultural icons.

Run DMC created a signature song, “My Adidas.”

This was one of the songs on their hit album, “Raising Hell, ” released in 1986.

For this reason, Run DMC entered into a monumental contract with the sneaker giant.
