The “Godzilla” series of movies has been a household name in the movie industry for decades, with a new installment or re imagining coming out every couple years. Well, this years’ re imagining of the classic story has come out.

What is “Godzilla”?

Godzilla is a Japanese created film series, created by Ishirō Honda. Since the first film was made in 1954, Godzilla has become a pop culture icon, with numerous re-imaginings being created. Some of these re-imaginings can be found in some films, like “Godzilla vs. Hedorah”, or “Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla”. Or in various other forms of media, like Video Games, Comic Books, and TV Shows.

“Godzilla: King of the Monsters” is the all new Godzilla movie that hit theaters on the 31st of May. This movie has been met with decent reviews, with it currently having a 6.6/10 on IMDB and a 40% on Rotten Tomatoes. Well, this shoots pretty far below the target rating, since the movie had a budget of $170-200 million. In fact, the new “Godzilla” movie is currently projected to fall over $150 million+ under the gross value that the movie before it, “Kong: Skull Island” did.
