Carlito Milfort Jr. was known for his work across myriad musical genres, as USA Today noted. His music repertoire includes punk rock, heavy metal, and hip-hop.
The Palm Beach, Florida, native was beginning to make a name in hip-hop. And, his two studio album releases (“The Breakfast Club and “Party At The Cemetery”) did well.
He was featured on the Grammy Award-nominated soundtrack. This soundtrack was on the film starring Keanu Reeves, “Bill & Ted Face The Music.”
In July, POORSTACY released a new song titled ” Nothing Belongs To You.”His sudden death is a mystery.
Piecing Together The Events Leading To The Tragedy
According to TMZ, police are trying to sort out the details of his death. But putting together what happened is becoming a mystery.
It appears his girlfriend was present during the time of his death. Although reports are claiming POORSTACY died from suicide, something is not adding up.
In other words, his family disputes that the rapper shot himself. His family is claiming there was foul play.
A hotel employee made an emergency call to 911. However, the 911 audio is a little sketchy. Other sources report that POORSTACY checked into the hotel days before the tragic event.
A woman and a young baby were also with him. Nicole Griktas was allegedly the woman who was with POORSTACY at the Boca Raton hotel.
She was booked on alleged child neglect and other charges. During her arrest, Nicole claims she and POORSTACY were doing drugs, which included cocaine, MDMA, and Xanax.
Later Saturday, Nicole was arrested for alleged drug use in the presence of their child. And, some reports claim Nicole and POORSTACY’s baby was present at the time of his death.
As the investigations continue, we will bring you an update. In the meantime, we can only wait for a coroner’s report.
