Since his arrest, he has been sitting in a jail cell in Shelby County.
The other two arrested are Gary Taylor and Danterio Owens.
Bates’ attorney, Arthur Horne, expressed shock upon learning that his client would not get bond, stating –
“I thought that my client would have gotten a bond.”
“It’s alleged, in the affidavit, that he was there but he is not the shooter. When Gary Taylor got bond, he was the alleged shooter. I was optimistic that we were going to get bond today but we didn’t.”
All suspects are currently remaining behind bars.
According to his social media page, he is sending a message to his fans.
A post appeared that read –
“Mac said he will be home real soon some small to [a] giant. He wanna thank all his fans for supporting him from day1!!!”
