Smith was the first rapper to receive the prestigious Kennedy Center Award in 2019. This great honor adds to the list of Smith’s accomplishments. In the case of Smith, he was awarded the John F. Kennedy for his work in the Performing Arts, as reported by Ebony.

In addition, Smith has won two- Grammy’s, numerous NAACP Image Awards, and BET Comedy Awards, Blockbuster Entertainment Awards, MTV Video award, Soul Train Awards, and Teen Choice Awards. Not to mention, Smith was honored with a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame. Smith has contributed to the greatest of hip-hop culture. Therefore, this statue is a tribute to Smith’s impact on hip-hop.

It was hip-hop pioneer Dana Owens aka Queen Latifah, who introduced her friend. Take a look at the video to see the highlights of the night. Out of all the hip-hop pioneers, Smith is one of my favorites.

Smith is also an actor. He can be currently seen in the TV show NCIS: Los Angeles. Smith plays NCIS agent Sam Hanna. Also, Smith is the host of Lip Sync Battle. Did I forget to mention, Smith has acted in films such as,(Krush Groove, Kingdom Come, In Too Deep, Last Holiday, Deliver Us From Eve, Deep Blue Sea, Out Of Sync, Woo, and Any Given Sunday), just to name a few. Congratulations!!!
