Is 50 Cent Getting Sued For Hip Hop Homicides?
50 Cent Might Get Sued. According to HipHopDX, 50 Cent could be sued behind his new crime series, Hip Hop Homicides.
The show follows investigations about a variety of hip-hop artists who’ve been slain throughout hip-hop history.
Seemingly, the sole purpose behind the show is to take a look at the violent epidemic in Hip Hop. Importantly, it examines how factors like race, class, crime, and policing played a part in these shocking killings.
Also, the Van Lathan-hosted show is produced by Mona Scott-Young who’s the producer behind the Love & Hip Hop franchise. And thoroughly dives into Hip Hop crimes.
For example, Pop Smoke, Chinx, and King Von are among the featured artists who the show taps into.
Specifically, the latest episode features Chicago rapper Carlton ‘FBG Duck’ Weekly. Duck was gunned down back in 2020 in his hometown of Chicago.
Five alleged gang members were initially charged with the crime. However, OTF affiliate Memo600 was associated with the crime. Much to his dismay.
The rapper took to IG to call out Fifty for chasing clout, and threatened to take legal action against him since the episode aired.
“@50Cent IM SUING YOU FOR DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER,” Memo wrote on social media, denying he had anything to do with Duck’s death. “I DONT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT SOMEBODY BETTER EXPLAIN SOMETHING U PAID THE WRONG INVESTIGATORS DONT PUT ME IN NO MURDERS FAM CHASING CLOUT!!”
So far, Jackson has yet to respond to the allegations. However, he remains quite busy pumping out content. His upcoming show Fightland focuses on the British boxing scene.
It’ll be his first project with Starz following the drama between him and the network. Stay tuned to see if he speaks out!
