However, according to NBA insider Shams Charania who broke the news, K. D. is indeed requesting a trade.
And the request is confirmed by his business manager, Rich Kleiman.
According to ESPN, the trade request was made directly to Nets owner Joe Tsai on Thursday.
Incidentally, Kyrie Irving who is Kevin’s good teammate and a good friend just agreed to remain with the Nets.
Though Durant signed on with Brooklyn via free agency back in 2019, he sat out his first year.
This was due to the fact that he was recovering from an Achilles injury.
But the following 2 seasons, he averaged upwards of 30 points a game.
No word on where the NBA basketball wants to go next, but teams have been calling on Durant.
Right now, Kleiman says Sean Marks (Nets general manager) is working to find a trade for Durant.
As for his wishlist, Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat are two teams he’s eyeing.
Because of the news of a possible trade of Kevin Durant, Sportsbook has adjusted the odds to win next season’s NBA championship.
Now the prediction is that the Suns are favorites to come out on top.
Their title odds went from 9-1 to 11-2.
While the 33-year-old Durant is set to make 44.1 million during the 22-23 season, he won’t become an unrestricted free agent until 2026.
