Killer Mike Collabs With Nike. Atlanta rapper Killer Mike just added another accomplishment to his resume. He’s joined forces with Brooklyn rapper El-P to drop a Nike shoe.

Killer Mike Collabs With Nike. According to HipHopDX, the pair known as Run The Jewels announced their forthcoming Nike collaboration.
They’ll release the Nike SB Dunk High shoe this upcoming April. Mike took to Twitter to share the news. Of course, Killer Mike is overjoyed with even more excitement as the shoe drops on his birthday.
“Dropping on my Born Day #420 The @runjewels X @nikesb Collab! S/O #JewelRunners Wit’e! Wait till we tell the story of how it all came to be!”
Also, Mikes’ newest album is officially in the works. It’ll be his first solo project in ten years.
Importantly, the rapper/activist uses his platform to be a voice for the African American community.
“The Fourth of July celebrates the founding of this Republic and the rejection of British tyranny through taxation. And the first person to die in the name of this great Republic was a man named Crispus Attucks, who was a son of an African father and a native mother, which by the one drop rule makes him a Black man.”
Mike And El-P Show Gratitude
He continues:
“The first person to die on the behalf of America was a free Black man. True history is Crispus Attucks died for this country first. True history is if it had not been for cheap and free labor in the South, this country would not have become an economic dominator on the world stage in only 246 years. I wanted to make sure that was known on the day we celebrate this Republic.”
As for El-P, he’s extremely grateful to his supporters.
“This is a thank you letter to everyone who has helped and allowed me to live my life doing the music and art i love. To everyone who has been moved in some way by what i do, to everyone who has been listening from the beginning, to those that stuck with me as i changed and grew and to everybody who’s just discovered the music.”
Certainly, Killer Mike deserves his flowers. He continues to use his voice to bring awareness surrounding injustices all over.
