Is Tyga Being Sued By Vans? Vans has filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against him. They are accusing Tyga of ripping off their sneaker design, as reported by Complex.

The old skool sneaker design is Van’s signature sneaker. In the lawsuit, Van’s representatives allege, that Tyga’s sneak may “confuse consumers.” Also, and potentially damage their brand.

There are too many similarities between Tyga’s “Wavy Baby” and Vans sneaks. Clearly, the sneaks both look very similar. Therefore, I could see why Vans would have an issue.

However, when Tyga’s sneaks went on sale they sold out. Apparently, consumer’s don’t have an issue buying either sneak. Of course, Vans pointed out all of the similarities between the two sneaks.

But if Tyga does not settle with them, a court case is evidently. Although, Tyga is not being sued. Instead, it is MSGHF who is named in the lawsuit.

He was in a partnership with Vans to sell the new sneakers. Here is what Vans is claiming,

“The Old Skool is one of our iconic styles worn by Vans fans of all ages around the world and we remain committed to safeguarding our heritage and intellectual property,” the brand said in a statement. “While we’re unable to comment on pending litigation and are disappointed that it has reached this point, we are taking the necessary legal action.”

With that being said, it sounds as though Vans is very serious. And, surely they will win the lawsuit. So, the question could be, is Tyga going to continue promoting “Wavy Baby” or not?
