Mac Miller Dead At 26
On the Uncensored Truth Podcast live host O’God and Sam Ant discuss the unfortunate passing of rapper Mac Miller. Rapper Mac Miller is dead at the age of 26. Sources are reporting that officers responded to a call for a death investigation at the 11600 block of Valleycrest Road just before noon local time. The coroner’s office will handle the investigation, according to CNN News.
Rapper Mac Miller struggled with drug addiction
Malcolm James McCormick better known as rapper Mac Miller just dropped his new album Swimming on August 3, 2018. The rapper was out with his friends watching a football game on Friday night. His friends are in shock. It did not appear that Miller was sick. However, Miller has had issues in the past with abusing certain drugs.
Miller had issues with using drugs Cocaine and Promethazine. He spoke about his drug abuse with Rolling Stone Magazine. Miller admitted that he used both drugs often, specifically after the release of his 2012 debut album Blue Slide Park. However, he did not consider himself an addict. Here is some of what he said:
” If a bunch of people think I am a huge addict, OK, Cool. What can I really do? Go talk to all those people and be like ‘Naw man, it’s really not that simple? ” “he told Rolling Stone. “Have I done drugs? Yeah, But am I a drug addict? no.”
Although, he admitted to drug use Miller claims he is in a better” head space.” Also, Miller admitted that his drug use stems all the way back to when he just 15-years-old. Back them Lean was his drug of choice.
Details in his recent death have not been reported since the incident just happened last night. An autopsy must be conducted in order to know the exact cause of Miller’s death. However, sources are speculating it was an overdose.
Mac Miller was once the boyfriend of famous singer Ariana Grande
Miller’s relationship with Grande was highly publicized. The couple dated in 2016. Miller and Grande were introduced by their mutual friends. The couple started out as friends but their love of music soon bought them closer. The two remained friends long after their relationship ended.
In an article with People Magazine Miller recounted his working with Grande:
“It was great. There was no awkwardness or weirdness, it was how it always was. “Just both of us older, more mature and more sure of ourselves. When we first recorded together we were young and figuring it out, which we still are, but now seeing her growth and my growth – it’s great.”
Miller was referring to the songs he and Grande had collaborated on. Miller reached out to Grande when he thought she would be great on his song My Favorite Part and again with the song The Way.
Miller supported Grande after the Manchester bombing at her show in England
On May 22, 2017 in Manchester England a suicide bombing occurred at Grande’s show. The terrorist attacker killed 22 of Grande’s fans and injured 119 others. The attacker was identified as 22-year-old Salman Abedi. Abedi was killed when he detonated an improvised explosive device near one of the venue’s exits, according to NY Times.
That’s it. Mac Miller is dead.
