NBA Youngboy Pays Homage To Juvenile. The Baton Rouge rapper is still on the heels of Realer 2. You might remember, he dropped it just a month ago.
Well, he’s keeping his fans with plenty to listen to. Importantly, the cover for this new body of work titled 3800 Degrees features a shoutout to Juvenile.
The artwork favors Juve’s 1998 debut album, 400 Degreez. Specifically, the cover shows NBA Youngboy holding onto an extensive chain collection. As well as, standing in the middle surrounded by flames.
Not to mention, he includes street signs for Chippewa and 38th Street. Both of which are located in his Louisiana hometown.
YB announced the project saying:
“To whom stabbed me in my back laughing like me being counted out funny—it’s all good I just need everyone to go against me, I need the energy.”
Of course, the 13-song project features artists like E-40, Shy Glizzy, and Mouse on tha Track. The project comes shortly after the birth of his tenth child.
Well, there’s more excitement than that. Juvenile didn’t take long to notice the homage to CMR—and quickly responded.
He took to Instagram to show his gratitude for inspiring the album name and artwork. Here’s his rebuttal:
“I just want to say thank you to @neverbrokeagainllc for redoing 400 degrees over in his own way at the peak of his career appreciate the love young boss.”
It’s nice to see artists supporting each other. Importantly, both rappers hail from the state of Louisiana—so we can understand the correlation.
Interestingly, when Juvenile and Cash Money were taking over for the 99 and 2000s, YB was just born.
At any rate, 3800 Degrees also comes just before his joint tour with Quando Rondo. Stay tuned for more updates!
