Silk Sonic Debut. R&B makes a strong comeback with the sounds of Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak. Unless you are familiar with 70’s soul, you can’t relate. But if you are a huge fan of R&B then hold on to your seats. Silk Sonic will take you on a journey you won’t soon forget.

Bruno And Anderson Understand The Assignment

This collaboration with Bruno and Anderson’s “An Evening With Silk Sonic”, really strikes a chord with hip-hop fans. Not to mention, R&B music connoisseururs. I don’t know about you all, but these singers bring back great memories. Not since, Teddy Pendergrass (Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes, The Stylistics, Blue Magic, The Delfonics, The Whispers, or The Spinners has music taken on such a nostalgic feel.

To say that, Bruno and Anderson really understand music is an understatement. Although both men were born in the ’80s clearly, their music is influenced by the 70’s sound, as reported by The New York Times. There are just a few artists (Tyrese (Shame), and Mary J Blige (I’m Going Down), that capture that 70’s vibe, in my opinion.

However, Silk Sonic continues to create sensual, velvety harmonies. Bruno and Anderson’s voices compliment each other just like Johhny Gill and Stacy Lattisaw. Very rarely do you come across the unique style of the ’70s with a new jack twist? Don’t take my word for it. Check the videos out. Let me know what you think.
