Mike Tyson Miniseries Coming To Hulu
Mike Tyson miniseries on the way, exclusively on Hulu.
Hulu just dropped a teaser for the show, simply titled, ‘Mike’.
While the telling of the boxing greats story is unauthorized, the 8-episode series will chronicle the life and career of the legendary boxer.
While describing the series, Hulu calls it –
“an unauthorized and no-holds-barred look at the life of Mike Tyson.”
Here is the cast –
- Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight) as Mike Tyson
- Laura Harrier (Spiderman: Homecoming) as Robin Givens
- Russell Hornsby (BMF) as Don King
But How Does Tyson Feel About The Upcoming Hulu Project?
Mike knows all about the new mini-series.
However, Tyson is not exactly on board, as he called for a boycott of the show last year.
Calling it “unauthorized”, he posted on Instagram stating it is a –
“…tone-deaf cultural misappropriation of the Tyson life story.”
Shortly after that, Tyson announced that the only project authorized to tell his story is the one produced by Martin Scorsese.
In that version, which is currently in production, Antoine Fuqua is directing and Jamie Foxx is set to lead the series.
“I have been looking to tell my story for quite some time. With the recent launch of Legends Only League and the excitement from fans following my return to the ring, now feels like the perfect moment. I look forward to collaborating with Martin, Antoine, Jamie, and the entire creative team to bring audiences a series that not only captures my professional and personal journey but also inspires and entertains.”
At the time, Jamie Foxx was seen undergoing his transformation as Mike Tyson.

However, not a lot has been revealed about that project since.
As for Hulu’s ‘Mike’, it airs on August 25th.
