‘Murder Was The Case’ Scrapped By STARZ!?!?
50 Cent’s Snoop Dogg story, ‘Murder Was The Case‘ is no more. Though it was actively in production at STARZ, it is no longer in production.
50 Cent’s Snoop Dogg-Inspired ‘Murder Was The Case’ Is No Longer In Production At Starz
50 Cent’s Murder Was The Case project about Snoop Dogg’s 1993 murder case has been put on ice.
Lately, Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson has been beefing with the Starz network.
Even going as far as to ask fans of his shows to boycott the network.
And that was all due to STARZ being slow to greenlight his latest project.
Well, now we see the first casualty from that fight, and it’s the production of Snoop Dogg’s story, Murder Was The Case.
Who is to blame?…50 Cent puts all the blame on the Starz network.
In a recent tweet, he let it be known that it was not his doing, and hoped Snoop still gets to tell his story, posting –
“…Murder was the case is no longer in production at STARZ. I give them the alley-oop, they drop the damn ball. Anyway i hope snoop tell his story.”

Snoops’ story comes from the infamous trial he had when accused of being involved in the murder of a rival gang member, Philip Woldermariam.
Even though the Hip Hop giant’s bodyguard, McKinley Lee admitted to killing the guy.
Claiming to have been shielding the rapper, Lee was the one who fired the shots.
Ultimately, both Snoop Dogg and his bodyguard were acquitted of the charges.
50 Cent Has Had Much Success With The STARZ Network
With shows like BMF, and the entire Power saga, which had 5 scheduled spin-offs planned, it looks like 50 thinks he has more leverage with the network than he actually does.
Though the shows his G-Unit production company bought to life on the network are highly successful, that does not mean he calls all the shots.
Because his latest edition in the Power series had some hiccups, and STARZ delayed the green light, according to Jackson.
And he took to social media in March to blast the STARZ network and let everybody know that there was a conflict there.
He posted –
“This is me packing my stuff, STARZ. Sucks, my deal is up over here I’m out. They renewed High Town, and FORCE is the highest rated show they have sitting in limbo. If I told you how much dumb sh*t I deal with over here, you would think they all went to school on a small yellow bus.”
Well maybe that didn’t sit too well with the network, and now he’s gotten the boot with Murder Was The Case.
Some believe that 50 Cent will eventually leave the STARZ network.
However, he’s still due to return with BMF and Power Universe in about 6 months.
Will Snoop ever get to tell his story? Only Time will tell.
