Lil Durk Becomes Playable Character. Recently, HipHopDX reported Lil Durk is officially a playable character.
This MyTEAM mode version went live Thursday and includes behind the scenes footage. Namely, it covers how Durk earned his 89 rating. Importantly, players need to unlock his player card by completing the spotlight challenge. It’ll only be available for a limited time.
Unsurprisingly, the Chicago native can be found wearing a No. 3 jersey—paired with the “Black Cement” Jordans. Also, he’s sporting a silky jumper mimicking his real-life shooting motion.
Naturally, the Jordan 3’s are fitting since the icon Michael Jordan himself spent most of his NBA career with the Chicago Bulls.
Importantly, 2K Sports’ Digital Marketing Director “Ronnie 2K” Singh enlisted fans to decide who’d be the next rapper to debut a 2K player. Well, mixed responses flooded the comments like Jack Harlow and Youngboy. Essentially, Durkio took the cake.
Certainly, Durk is in good company as fellow rappers like Lil Wayne and J. Cole are among those with playable characters.
Regarding Cole, he chimed in following his 2k debut last year.
“NBA 2K has long been a place to discover new musical talent through their game and continues to be a gold standard for showcasing all things basketball culture,” Cole said in a statement. “It’s been an amazing journey to not only appear on a cover of this year’s game, but to be part of the MyCAREER storyline, soundtrack and bring the DREAMER brand into NBA 2K.”
Without a doubt, it’s refreshing to see Lil Durk in a more positive light. Contrary to this, he’s having an interesting weekend.
His on and off again relationship with India Royale caused him to let off lots of outlandish posts. For example, threatening to break folks jaw for popping into her comments.
