After months of legal battles and uncertainty, Boosie Badazz can finally celebrate. A federal court in San Diego dismissed the gun charges against him.

Torrence Hatch, aka Boosie Badazz, was facing considerable time in prison. He admits that some people thought he would be found guilty. But in his own words, Boosie shared this outside the courthouse,

“This situation made me see who was down with me and who wasn’t,” rapper Torrence Hatch Jr., who has also previously been known as Lil Boosie, said outside of a San Diego federal courtroom as he wiped tears from his eyes. “Ninety percent of people thought I was going to prison, but God had a different plan.”

This was a difficult period for the rapper, who did not know his fate. Although prosecutors were hell-bent on sending Boosie to prison, justice prevailed.

Rapper Expresses Relief And Gratitude After Legal Victory

According to Courthouse News, Boosie’s case was picked up by the Feds. After Boosie’s state case was dismissed, he thought it was over. When Boosie was shooting a video in San Diego, an alleged gun was spotted on him.

So, the Fed was waiting when Boosie exited the state court case. Federal agents arrested him. According to another report by XXL Mag, attorney Meghan Blanco handled the federal gun charge case.

Attorney Meghan Blanco was able to get all of the federal charges dropped, and Boosie was very grateful. On Instagram, a video with Boosie teary-eyed surfaced.

It was evident that Boosie was excited about the outcome. It is important to note that it is very rare that someone gets off for possession of firearms. In this case, Boosie can thank his great legal team.

More importantly, there was a recent case involving Steven ‘Shorty’ Duarte. This case was similar to Boosie’s. A Ninth Circuit court sided with Steven. After Steven was convicted in court, he appealed to the highest court.

He stated that his Second Amendment rights were violated. The court agreed, and Steven won. Therefore, Boosie may have been a recipient of this court ruling.

Having said this, Boosie has won his case and is free to pursue his career.
