Boldy James Suffers Injuries in Car Accident

Boldy James Involved in Car Crash. According to reports, rapper Boldy James recently had a horrific car crash.

His publicist confirmed to HipHopDX, the two-car crash took place on January 9th in the Detroit metro area.

Unfortunately, the Detroit lyricist suffered orthopedic injuries and broken vertebrae in his neck. As a result, James underwent extensive surgery—and remains in recovery.

Thankfully, Boldy was able to move out of the ICU to continue his recovery process. HipHopDX writer Ill Will shared this update via Twitter:

“Just been informed that @BoldyJames was involved in a serious car crash in Detroit earlier this week. I can confirm that he was taken to hospital in critical condition. After undergoing extensive surgery on his neck, he was removed from ICU and is now in stable condition.”

Equally important, it’s amazing to know he’s okay and expected to fully recover. The statement continues:

“Boldy and his family said in a statement that they would like to express their gratitude to “the incredible doctors and nurses that are taking care of him, and also to the communities’ emergency medical personnel and first responders.”

Of course, Boldy is highly respected in the hip-hop community. He signed with Griselda Records in 2020. Clearly, 2022 was a successful year for him.

He released four albums that year: Killing Nothing with Real Bad Man last May, Fair Exchange No Robbery with Nicholas Craven in September, Mr. Ten08with Futurewave in November, and Be That as It May with Cuns in December.

Elsewhere, he’s currently cooking up a Drug Dilla project with previously unheard J Dilla beats.

Stay tuned to see if he’ll announce any tour dates!
