Some people are up in arms about the re-enactment in Da Baby’s video. In Da Baby’s version, he plays a bystander who stops the attack, preventing the stabbing.
Then the video ends with a screenshot featuring a GoFundMe link for Iryna Zarutska’s family. Now, Da Baby is facing backlash for his depiction of Iryna’s death.
Outcry Over Murder Of Ukrainian Refugee
The murder of the Ukrainian refugee in the video has struck a chord with many. According to NBC News, the bizarre music video reenacts the fatal stabbing of Iryna Zarutska.
It’s problematic for Da Baby, mainly because of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Reenacting Iryna’s death, which occurred in the US, is a bit concerning.
Others are suggesting Da Baby should be canceled for creating the video. And, it is not the first time Da Baby has been in the middle of controversy.
A few years back, Da Baby was almost canceled for comments on the LGBTQ+ community. So, you can see why some people want him to pay for his alleged actions.
