Magic Johnson Give 800 Detroit Families Food. The NBA Hall of Famer gives back once again. This time he partners with General Motors.

Magic Johnson Give 800 Detroit Families Food. Johnson is a legend on the court and off. He has been very philanthropic in the community.
After retiring from the NBA career, he focused on helping others. And, he has been instrumental in providing jobs, and other opportunities. Now, his work in the community includes feeding Detroit families.
His partnership with General Motors and Feed The Children was underway. On November 12th Johnson handed out food. Second Ebenezer Church hosted the event. as reported by Black Enterprise.
Families were given a voucher the week before the event. Those families were able to pick up 15-pounds of boxed items. Johnson shared pictures on his Twitter.
In addition, families received a turkey, ham, tuna water, and canned goods. Also, the children were given books and toys.

Of course, Johnson thanked GM Director of Dealer Diversity Carlos Latour and the employees. Additionally, he thanked Bishop Edgar Vann & First Lady Sheila Vann for hosting.
In response, Bishop Edgar said,
“WE’VE BEEN DOING THIS FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS HERE IN THE CITY, WITH FEED THE CHILDREN, WITH MAGIC JOHNSON AND WITH OUR OTHER CORPORATE PARTNERS. JUST TO SEE THE IMPACT, THE JOY ON THE PEOPLE’S FACES,” SAID VANN.”
To top it off, Johnson thanked all of the volunteers. It was a very unselfish deed to those less fortunate. As I mentioned earlier, Johnson has been providing employment at his famous Magic Johnson Theaters.
There is also the pre-paid Master Card aimed at helping low-income people save money, according to Wiki. Later, Johnson sold his Theaters to Loew’s Cineplex Entertainment.
Having shared this, Johnson continues to impact food-sensitive communities with support.
