Are y’all ready for The D.O.C. documentary?
Summer is kicking off with an epic documentary about rap legend The D.O.C.
Chronicling the life and career of Tracy Lynn Curry, the platinum-selling Dallas, Texas rapper.
But he was not only a rapper, he was also a songwriter for acts such as N.W.A, Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, and a host of others.
Also, the rapper, songwriter, and record producer was the co-founder of Death Row Records (which is now owned by Snoop Dogg).
Speaking on the talent of the legendary record executive, music manager Jerry Heller once said –
“The D.O.C. was a natural, by far the most gifted rapper I have ever heard. You can talk all you want about Slick Rick or Rakim. The D.O.C.’s machine-gun mouth takes the title. No one could do it better.”
So get ready for this story of his amazing journey to stardom.
He released his chart-topping debut album, No One Can Do It Better in 1989.
But shortly after its release, Curry suffered major injuries in a devastating car crash that left him with a crushed larynx.
Along with that heart-breaking news, the rapper’s solo career was instantly halted.
However, we are now getting a glimpse into the life and times of The D.O.C. with this documentary.
