Can Tyreek Hill’s Legal Team Ignite Police Reform In Florida?
Miami Dolphin Player Tyreek Hill Enlists Legal Dream Team.
Tyreek Hill’s legal troubles stem from a disturbing video that went viral of him being arrested. The video footage is alarming, as we see another black man face down on the concrete.
TMZ Sports reports that Miami-Dade police are seen allegedly pulling Tyreek out of his sports car. After Tyreek Hill was arrested and released, he was seen speaking at a press conference.
It was clear that Tyreek was visibly upset about the entire incident. By the way, Tyreek’s situation could have ended badly. However, he was much more fortunate than George Floyd.
As you all know, George Floyd lost his life when police wrestled him to the ground in an apparent arrest. When it was all said and done, George Floyd died at the scene.
So, it is understandable that Tyreek would hire a legal team to help him.

Recognizing the gravity of the situation, Tyreek Hill has sought out the expertise of some of the best legal minds in the business. First, as USA Today stated, Tyreek hired an attorney, Julius B. Collins.
Julius Collins has hired Jeffrey A. Neiman, Stephen B. Kelly Jr., and Devon M. Jacob. Devon Jacob worked with Benjamin Crump in George Floyd’s 2020 civil case.
In a statement, attorney Devon M. Jacob said,
“Tyreek intends to continue the national movement for necessary police reform that George Floyd’s death started,” Jacob said in a statement. “Tyreek is demanding that Congress finally pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act.”
While Tyreek acknowledged his behavior during the police incident, he wanted to promote change. Therefore, he has started the process of igniting change.
In addition, Tyreek and his legal team want Miami-Dade police officer Danny Torres fired. Officer Danny Torres allegedly put his hand on Tyreek’s back.
Whether Tyreek and his team of attorneys will grant their request remains to be seen. I can’t help but wonder what the outcome would have been.
After all, historically, there have been too many cases of police brutality against Black and Brown men. At some point, this must all change. Hopefully, Tyreek and his attorneys will have some success.
Otherwise, these kinds of incidents will continue to happen.
