As we all know, the Super Bowl performance is one of the highlights of the football game. And, each year, popular performers are chosen to perform, with this year being no different.
However, some of President Trump’s supporters are not happy with Bad Bunny being selected. The Puerto Rican rapper has been very vocal about his stand against ICE.
He has spoken out against the President’s administration policies. As we mentioned, Bad Bunny is against the current immigration policies.
Especially since it appears ICE has targeted the Hispanic community of Immigrants. This backlash highlights a lack of awareness about Puerto Rico’s status as a U.S. territory.
Additionally, Bad Bunny is concerned about his fans being targeted.
MAGA Is Mad About Bad Bunny Being Selected To Perform
According to an MSNBC report, over 100 million viewers tuned in to watch the Super Bowl. Clearly, the Super Bowl halftime show is another reason viewers tune in.
Announcing this year’s selection for the half-time show was a surprise. Last year, Kendrick Lamar was selected to perform. And, we must admit, his performance was epic.
Other half-time shows in the past have included entertainers such as Prince, Katy Perry, and Beyoncé. After the NFL announced Bad Bunny would perform, all hell broke loose.
As always, there is often some controversy over the choices of performers. But this year, choosing Bad Bunny has been met with controversy.
Although Bad Bunny is an international star, some MAGA supporters are not happy. Once again, a racial line has been drawn. This time is about the Puerto Rican entertainer chosen.
However, it does not matter what side you are on politically. Bad Bunny will be performing.
