Who Are “The Exonerated Five”

The Central Park Five” now known as “The Exonerated Five”, are  five boys, now men named Raymond Santana, Korey Wise, Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, and Dr. Yusef Salaam, who were falsely accused of the rape of Central Park jogger, Tricia Meili. They were tried and convicted and all five men spent from 6 to 13 years in prison before a serial rapist finally confessed to the crime and they were exonerated in 2002, where then they sued NYC and won a $41 million settlement and also sued NY state and won $3.9. They are all criminal justice advocates, living in NYC and ATL.
