Rapper Salt Exposes The Music Industry’s Wicked Practices. While Salt-N-Pepa (Cheryl “Salt” James and Sandra “Pepa” Denton) have been vocal about the “dark side” of the music industry, their comments typically focus on the spiritual and psychological toll of fame rather than specific “occult rituals” often discussed in internet conspiracy theories. • Industry Pressures: The duo has noted they were discouraged from becoming mothers early in their careers, as the industry viewed motherhood as a threat to their “sexy” brand and marketability.

Salt’s Spiritual Rebirth

In 2008, Salt spoke to Religion News Service about the dark side of fame, explaining that her abrupt departure from the group in 2002 was necessary for her survival. She described it not as a ritualistic requirement, but as a spiritual “shut down” needed to focus on her Christian faith and family. Many may think she is making these assumptions because of her Christian beliefs. However, she is not the first celebrity to make these claims about the music industry.

More recently, the group has focused its “uncensored” commentary on the industry’s legal and financial “rituals”—specifically, the struggle for artists to own their work.

So, when Cheryl James, better known as Salt, was very vocal. In a recent interview, she talked about alleged satanic rituals and blood sacrifices.
