Jay-Z and Gil Scott-Heron delighted fans with the newest rendition of the hit song “New York State Of Mind“.

The official title of the new remix is “New York (Concept de Paris)“.

Tapping the late jazz legend in this one is much appreciated.

Jay dropping the new song on streaming services on Sunday was quite a surprise.

This reworked version has the billionaire rapper combining his 2009 hit with the late poet’s “New York is Killing Me“.

Following Jay’s Celebration Concert at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris on Friday, April 14th, this surprise release arrives quietly without fanfare.

It is supporting the Basquiat x Warhol, Paining Four Hands exhibition which is supported by Tiffany & Company.

While it is rare for Hov to be performing at all these days, no one left disappointed.

Those in attendance got to see a career-spanning set including songs like –
