Janelle Monae’s New Song Has Everybody Bopping

Janelle Monae’s new song is a four-minute bopping, self-loving dance tune.

It’s called “Float“, and it marks the first independent release since her 2018 album, Dirty Computer.

Fans have eagerly awaited new music from the Glass Onion actress.

Well now she’s back to the music and she delivers.

The long-awaited single “Float” comes with an accompanying dance video.

You can see the video below.

“Float” features Fela Kuti’s youngest son, Seun Kuti, and his band, Egypt 80.

Taking to social media, the 37-year-old singer/rapper/songwriter/actress says this about the release –

“I pray you hold these words close to your heart cause they came straight from mine.”

Alternating between singing and rapping, fans are sure to have their foot tapping to the beat.

Here are some of the lyrics –

“I think I done changed / See something not the same / I used to walk into the room, head down / I don’t walk now, I Float.”
