Chief Keef Platinum Ahead Of Ten Year Anniversary Of ‘Finally Rich’
Chief Keef reaches Platinum status for his album, Finally Rich.
It’s been a decade since its release in 2012 via Interscope Records.
Artist features included 50 Cent, Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross, Jeezy, French Montana, and Lil Reese.
In its first week it garnered 50,o00 copies sold and landed at #29 on Billboard.
Back in July 2018, the album made it to Gold status, selling half a million equivalent units.
However, the album is now certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) as Platinum.
And just in time for its 10th anniversary.
The RIAA made the announcement on Wednesday, November 30th.
The Chicago native has now surpassed a million units sold in the U.S. for the project.
Technically, it won’t be 10 years until December 18th, but Chief Keef will accept the early anniversary gift.
In other good news for the artist, CK surpassed a billion Spotify streams on the 12th of November, according to Chart Data.
Maybe this news will offset some of his legal woes, as the 27-year-old rapper/singer/songwriter/producer is currently battling some legal trouble.
In the meantime, let’s check out the title track from his now Platinum album, “Finally Rich” –
