As you know, Drizzy took the Beyoncé approach and shared the news seemingly just moments before the release of this 7th studio album.
According to listeners, the album is a mixture of EDM, house-music, and dancehall. At any rate, it’s not the classic Drake sound.
Needless to say, the reviews are pretty mixed. On one hand, some folks are loving the vibes. However, many people blatantly gave it a thumbs down.
Certainly, it’s easy to deliver the expected. But I think it’s great that he catered to a variety of listeners this time around. Who doesn’t appreciate a good dance vibe?
Well, The Breakfast Club host own Charlamagne Tha God doesn’t sound impressed.

As expected, Uncle Charla shared his views on the Grammy-winning rappers’ new body of work. He had this to say on 105.1 The Breakfast Club:
“I don’t mind the vibes you know the vibes to me are the vibes you hear when you’re at a Beverley Hills luxury hotel.”
Of course, the late night talk show host would be remiss if he didn’t add a razzle dazzle of sarcasm.
“This is lobby, elevator music. This is the vibes when you sitting in the lobby of the SLS hotel having some drinks on a leather couch with the lights dimly lit. You got a suit on, no tie, first couple of buttons on your shirt open, some slippers on, loafers no socks.”
Lastly, he confirms he won’t be listening again.
“I’m never going to revisit the album again, but if it comes on when I’m in the lobby of a luxury hotel, I’m not mad at it.”
Well, C Tha God is not alone in refusing to put this album in rotation. Without trashing the album, he made it clear it’s just not for him.
