Babyface Ray Releases ‘Motown Music’ Video And Fans Are Loving It
Babyface Ray is back in full force with his music video for his latest single, Motown Music.
The rapper, whose real name is Marcellus Register, has returned with his style described as a lilting flow with smooth tones.
Lifted off his latest release, FACE, it is the follow-up to his 2021 effort, Unfuckwitable.
Though his trademark slurry voice is the same, the message seems to be getting thicker.
In fact, the entire project shows the growth the Detroit native has uncovered over the past 10 years.
The official video for Motown Music shows Ray showcasing his flow for his crew, and it’s directed by Kardiak and shot by J.R. Digital.
But added in the mix are clips of average life on the streets for him and his boys.
Before you hear the song, check out some of the lyrics –
“Puttin’ mileage on the rental
And when I called out and said, “I need you, ” they ain’t hear me
Niggas screamin’ beef, but really vegan, it ain’t in ’em
I ain’t talked to my nigga G, he still my nigga
I ain’t been spendin’ time with Yell’, he still my nigga…”
Seems like he is rapping about a lot of different folks, he goes on –
“I ain’t seein’ eye-to-eye with bro, but I ain’t trippin’
I ain’t never quittin’ ’til them millions in my vision
When you walk alone, nigga, you don’t know the feelin’
Weight on my shoulders, I don’t know if I can lift it
And they say, “You actin’ different”
Money got your head gone
And I come from the city niggas don’t last long…”
And the chorus –
“Ayy, I’m tryna feed the team, but it’s crowded in the kitchen
If you was in my shoes, niggas probably wouldn’t have did it”
That’s just a snippet of all he talks about in this rap.
Now listen to the song in the official music video for Babyface Ray’s Motown Music.
