Meek Mill launch Dream Chasers label with Jay Z. This is a great power move for Meek. Jay has been supporting Meek his entire career. It makes sense that he would continue to invest with him.

Meek and Jay Z celebrate Dream Chasers

Even before Dream Chasers, Jay and Meek have joined forces for criminal justice reform. And, now they have created “Dream Chasers” Record Label, according to Yahoo. Jay has made power moves that did not only involve music. But he has ventured into other avenues to create wealth. This joint venture will make both Meek and Jay a lot of money. Jay nor Meek have not mentioned if  “Dream Chasers” will be involved in distribution. Distribution and ownership would be the best way to invest. Meek expressed how important it was to make this decision with Jay:

“Of course I had offers to do a lot of business with other people, but the relationship we’ve built from [Roc Nation] believing in me through my whole career, through my ups and downs and the morals they showed to me and my team when it wasn’t in their best interest to have showed it, I feel comfortable going through this right here at home.”

Jay shared his thoughts with Gayle King in an interview saying:

“The music and culture we create, you know, we’ve been giving it away for so long,”Jay told King. He then explained, “Which is understandable, you’ve got  to start somewhere. You’ve got to clean the floors up before you own the building but we don’t shine shoes anymore.”

This is a great example for Jay Z to set with Meek. It proves that two successful rappers turned music moguls can work together to create wealth. Hopefully, those in the hip hop community will take notice and follow.
