Lizzo Stays Strong After Fat-Shaming Claims Dropped. In a world where body-shaming is unfortunately all too common, individuals need to stand up and be proud of who they are. Lizzo, the powerhouse singer and advocate for body positivity, recently found herself at the center of fat-shaming claims. However, despite the accusations, she has remained strong and resilient, continuing to spread messages of self-love and acceptance to her fans.

Meliss Jefferson has always been unapologetically herself, flaunting her curves and exuding confidence. However, her image was questioned when some of her dancers accused her of fat-shaming.
As a result, Lizzo took a hit on her public persona. And, people quickly began to judge her based on the sexual harassment and fat-shaming claims.
Some of her dancers, Arianna Davis and Noelle Rodriguez, filed a lawsuit against the singer. And, joining the lawsuit was her dancer, Crytal Williams.
Despite the hurtful words and attempts to undermine her worth, Lizzo remained steadfast. She was determined to clear her name and reputation.
According to TMZ, Lizzo’s attorneys Marty Singer and Melissa Y. Glass claimed the accusations were false. They suggested that the lawsuit had “no merit.”
Over 18 witnesses submitted sworn declarations to the court. Those declarations favored Lizzo rather than the claimants.
Case Dropped Due to Lack of Evidence
Let me refresh your memories: three of her dancers made claims that Lizzo subjected them to nude entertainment. These nude entertainment shows are alleged to have caused the dancers to be uncomfortable.
It was during Lizzo’s tour in Amsterdam, and in Paris, nude entertainment was seen. In addition, the three dancers claim they were made to interact with sex performers.
However, Lizzo has maintained her innocence throughout the ordeal. So far, the more serious claims remain disputed, according to BET.
But the fat-shaming charges have been dismissed. In other words, Lizzo has been cleared of the lesser charges.
What happens next is anyone’s guess at this point. Needless to say, Lizzo appears to be confident she will beat the other charges.
Meanwhile, the dancer’s attorney, Ronald Zambrano, claims,
“We are maintaining that Judge Epstein was correct in his ruling denying Lizzo’s special motion to strike the vast majority of claims they attacked, including false imprisonment and harrassment. Of the couple of claims Judge Epstien did dismiss, the plantiffs have taken a considered approach to leave that be. One would hope to see the same level of intellectual honesty and neutral assessment from the defendants, but that hasn’t been the case thus far and it’s disappointing.”
So, what does it all mean for the singer? Will Lizzo face time behind bars if she is found guilty? And what will that mean for her career?
Or will Lizzo come out victorious against the other accusations? Despite the uncertainty of Lizzo’s future, she continues to perform.
She has not deterred from her empowering message to fans about self-love and acceptance. For now, we have to sit tight and wait for the outcome.
