The case surrounding the murder of famous rapper PnB Rock has finally come to a close as a verdict has been reached in the trial of the suspect accused of the crime. The father of the alleged killer of PnB Rock was found guilty in the 2022 slaying of PnB Rock. According to USA Today, Freddie Trone was found guilty of two counts of second-degree murder.
The incident which resulted in the shooting death of PnB Rock happened at Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles. PnB Rock and his finance were eating when a young man approached them.
Tremont Jones was found incompetent to stand trial, although he was the one to commit the robbery allegedly.
Additionally, Freddie was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit robbery. The young teen’s father, Freddie Trone, allegedly sent him inside to rob PnB Rock.
Trone was also alleged to be the getaway driver found guilty.
Verdict Reached: Man Convicted of Murder
PnB Rock’s mother Deannea fallen told Rolling Stone, she was ‘elated’ about the verdict. Here is some of what she shared,
“I wanted to jump up and scream, ‘Hallelujah.’ I’m so happy it was quick,”Allen told magazine. “We got justice for Rakim. I feel better knowing they’ll be in jail for a long time.”
Attorney Winston McKesson told the AP Trone plans to file for a new trial. In the meantime, Tremont Jones’s attorney, David Haas, plans to appeal the verdict, as well.
