Superfly Actor Gets 50-Year Sentence. Kaalan Walker was accused of raping women. He was convicted in April 2022.
Kaalan Walker Acting Career Maybe Over
Superfly Actor Gets 50-Year Sentence. The rapper/actor was found guilty of raping 7 women. More importantly, 3 of the women were minors, as reported by People.
According to the DA’s office, Walker was charged with three counts of forcible rape. And, one count of assault to commit oral copulation.
In addition, he was charged with statutory rap and two counts of rape by intoxication. The proceedings took place in Van Nuys, California.
This took place in 2013, he contacted women on Instagram and Twitter. Allegedly, Walker promised some of the modeling careers. Also, he promised them professional opportunities with celebrities.
Of course, what Walker promised them never happened. Sadly, 3 teenage girls fell prey to his promises. Walker will have to register as a sex offender forever. In other words, his acting career could be over for good.
Having said this, Walker’s attorney Andrew Flier did not give any response. Walker started his career in the film “Kings” starring Halle Berry. He then went on to be in the TV series “Contempt.”
I think most of us remember him in “Superfly.” Superfly was a re-make of Ron O’Neil Superfly in the 1970s. We do not know any of the victims’ names. Rightfully so.
Especially since, rape victims already go through enough. Making their names public would just add to their pain. Nevertheless, Walker was given a 50 year sentence for his sexual crimes.
Hopefully, in time Walker’s victims will heal. Or at least, they can have closure.
