Rapper Plies Sues Soulja Boy & Others For Copyright Infringement. Algernod Washington, otherwise known as Rapper Plies, has recently taken legal action against several artists in the music industry for copyright infringement. Among those accused are famous artists Soulja Boy, Megan Thee Stallion, Glorilla, and Cardi B. Plies alleges that these artists have used his original work without permission, leading to a legal battle shaking up the music world.

As reported by TMZ, Plies claims Soulja Boy has used his 2008 track “Me & My Goons.” The rapper alleges that Soulja  jacked his song in 2010 on his “Pretty Boy Swag.”

Plies is seeking compensation for the unauthorized use of his song. In addition, He is suing rappers Megan Thee Stallion and Glorilla for their collaboration on “Wanna Be.”

He alleges that the remixes of the female rappers and Cardi B were his originals. For this reason, the Florida rapper has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit.

All of the rappers involved in some way allegedly used his track and remade it without his permission.

Megan’s Hot Girl Productions and Soulja’s former imprint Collipark are named in the lawsuit. Additionally, Universal Music Group and Collective Music Group are included in Plies claims.

Megan Thee Stallion Faces Legal Battle Along With Glorilla And Cardi B

Plies has also targeted Megan Thee Stallion, accusing her of copyright infringement in her music. Plies alleges that Megan’s collaboration with Cardi B and Glorilla has used his original lyrics and beats in her song.

As mentioned, all the above rappers allegedly copyrighted Plies’ famous song. Now, Plies wants credit in terms of monetary compensation from each.

The legal battle between the two artists has raised questions about intellectual property rights in the music industry and spotlighted the issue of copyright infringement.

Megan, Soulja, Cardi B, and Glorilla have not responded publicly to Plies’ allegations.  Plies is determined to protect his creative work and willing to take on anyone he believes has infringed upon his rights.
