Some sources report that Megan had been transported to a local hospital in New York City. At this time, we are not sure why Megan fell ill; however, it appears her symptoms could be related to dehydration.

Emerging from Houston, Texas, she first gained viral fame through her freestyle videos before skyrocketing to mainstream success with hits like “Hot Girl Summer,” “Savage,” and “Body.” Known for her confident lyrical delivery, “stallion” persona, and the “Hot Girl” cultural movement, she has consistently broken records, including becoming the first female rapper to have three number-one songs on the Billboard Hot 100 in a single year.

Beyond her music career, she is recognized for her academic persistence—graduating with a degree in health administration in 2021—and her recent historic foray into theater as the first woman to play Harold Zidler in a worldwide production of Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Broadway.

Megan Thee Stallion Hospitalized Mid-Performance On “Moulin Rouge”

Megan Thee Stallion was recently hospitalized after falling ill mid-performance during her Broadway debut in Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

While performing as the nightclub impresario Harold Zidler at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, Megan fell ill. The rapper began to feel as though she might faint and was promptly transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

Her representative later confirmed that doctors identified extreme exhaustion, dehydration, and low metabolic levels as the cause of her symptoms. Megan addressed the “scary” incident on Instagram, calling it a “real wake-up call” and admitting she had been pushing herself past her limits.

After being treated and discharged, she took Wednesday off to rest but said she intended to return to the stage this Thursday, April 2.

It sounds like Megan is eager to get back to the “Hot Girl Spring” she’s been leading on Broadway! Her run as Harold Zidler in Moulin Rouge! The Musical is a historic one, marking the first time a woman has played the role in any production worldwide

Megan is scheduled to end her run on May 17, 2026. At this time, we are not sure whether “Moulin Rouge” will continue after that date.
