The Judge Throw The Book At Casanova
Rapper Casanova Sentence To 15 Years In Prison.
Caswell Senior, aka Casanova, was given his sentence by a judge.
During his trial, a lot of evidence was presented.
And the evidence sealed Casanova’s fate.
Charges against Casanova included firearm possession, conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, and racketeering.
According to Complex, Casanova was also charged with attempted murder.
These charges are all part of the RICO Act, which is what is used to determine criminal activity.
Federal crimes come with considerable time.
However, Casanova received 188 months, and that was not bad.
Ideally, RICO charges can carry a life sentence.
In this case, Casanova was hit hard but not too hard.
In other words, his sentencing could have been much worst.
Be that as it may, the NY rapper will do some hard times.
Uproxx reported that U.S. District Attorney Damian Williams gave a statement,
“Caswell Senior is not just a notorious recording artist, but he is also a high-profile leader of a vicious street gang and a magnet for gang violence,” Williams said. “At a crowded Miami house party, Senior personally fired a gun that seriously injured and could have killed a victim, inciting a shootout. Further, Senior’s stature in the community was central to Gorilla Stone’s successful recruitment and nationwide expansion. Today’s sentencing — along with the other significant sentences that have been imposed in this case — shows once again that gang life is not worth it and will lead to many years in prison.”
