In the interview with Jaguar Wright, Piers Morgan allowed her to make unverified and damaging claims against Jay-Z and Beyonce. Wright alleged that Jay-Z was worse than Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Jaguar alleges that Beyonce is not as wholesome as she portrayed. The interview quickly went viral, with many questioning Pier’s decision to give Jaguar a platform to make such serious allegations.
Some people claim that Piers did not do his due diligence on the allegations against The Carters. As a result, Jay-Z and Beyonce’s attorneys sent Piers a cease and desist letter.
That is when Piers went live to issue and apology to the famous couple. You can imagine that Piers was embarrassed by having to admit the news from Jaguar was possibly false.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Piers claims Jaguar’s claim was “totally false.” There was no evidence to support her allegations against the Carters made by Jaguar.
Allegations Against Jay-Z And Beyonce Were Halted By Their Attorneys
Following the interview, Jay-Z obviously sent his attorney after Piers Morgan. Piers went live on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, to issue an apology to The Carters.
In addition, Piers mentioned,
“Jaguar, unexpectedly, made several serious allegations about JAY-Z and Beyoncé during that interview. As I said in the moment, they were not present to respond or defend themselves, but now they have. Their lawyers contacted us to say that those claims were ‘totally false’ and have no basis in fact, and we’ve therefore complied with a legal request to cut them from the original interview,” detailed Morgan.
As you can see, Piers does not want to be sued because of what Jaguar alleged. Once she received the cease from Carter’s attorney, he relented.
Industry insiders also criticized Morgan for prioritizing sensationalism over journalistic integrity. Although Pier’s show is uncensored, a line must be drawn between what is factual and what is not.
Therefore, Piers allegedly removed some of Jaguar’s comments about The Carters.
