Megan Thee Stallion Requests Deposition in Legal Dispute
Megan Thee Stallion Demands Deposition in Label Battle.
Pete’s legal team filed paperwork in 2021 to demand a deposition in her ongoing legal battle with 1501 Certified Entertainment.
The deposition is a legal process in which witnesses testify under oath before a trial. The purpose of the deposit is to gather the evidence before the test.
Megan’s legal team argues that she signed with the label when she was 20, as stated by TMZ.
However, 1501 Certified Entertainment allegedly blocked Megan from releasing new music.
It was alleged Megan wanted to renegotiate her contract. Which incidentally was an alleged 360 Slave Deal,
Megan obtained a temporary restraining order against her label from a district judge in Harris County.
Therefore, Megan was able to move forward with dropping her new album.
From that point on, things took a turn for the worst.
Ultimately, Megan ended up leaving 1501 and signing with RocNation.
Some of Megan’s issues led her to file an ask for a Texas judge Darien Smith to be deposed, as Hot New Hip Hop stated.
That would cause Smith to testify in an upcoming deposition.
Smith is an executive at 1501.
Also, Smith is the alleged boyfriend of Megan’s former friend Kelsey Harris.
Long story short, Smith may have inside information about Megan’s ongoing battle with 1501.
That is why she is demanding the judge depose Smith.
In layman’s terms, Smith has to give up the goods.

Rapper Seeks Answers in Ongoing Battle with Record Label
Megan Thee Stallion has been fighting for her right to renegotiate her contract with 1501 Certified Entertainment since 2020.
The dispute started when she signed a contract with Roc Nation, a management company.
The label claims that Megan breached the contract by signing with Roc Nation without their approval.
Megan’s legal team argues that the contract with 1501 Certified Entertainment was unfair, and she was not given reasonable opportunities to renegotiate the terms.
On the other hand, the label claims that Megan owes them money for a breach of contract.
Megan’s demand for a deposition will likely turn the tide on her former label.
In other words, 150 Certified Entertainment may be found liable.
And they may have to settle their dispute with the Texas rapper.
If that happens, there could be a substantial victory for Megan,
Although, I suspect the legal battle with Megan and 1501 is far from over.
At this point, it appears Megan is not relenting.
The deposition is an essential step in the legal process, and what new evidence will be uncovered remains to be seen.
Megan Thee Stallion and her legal team are determined to fight.
