However, it appears Lil Durk was involved in a murder-for-hire plot in a new development. The kicker is he is being charged with allegedly being the mastermind behind a hit on rapper Quando Rondo.
According to TMZ, a Chicago-based OTF (Only the Family) crew has ties with the slaying of Quando Rondo’s cousin Sayiaya’s Robinson.
Sources report that Quando Rondo was allegedly the intended target. However, it was Quando’s cousin who was gunned down while sitting in a car.
There are a lot of variables in this twisted plot. It appears the groups of men were rivals in a hip-hop game.
Federal agents arrested five men in connection to Sayiaya’s death. Five men were indicted by a grand jury on Thursday.
Included in the August 2022 shooting are Kavon London Grant, aka “Vonnie,” Deandre Dontrell Wilson, aka “DeDe,” and Keith Jones, aka “Flacka.”
Also, David Brian Lindsey, aka “Browneyez,” and Asa Houston, aka “Boogie.” While Lil Durk is not a suspect, he was arrested in Florida.
The Shocking Arrest
The news of Lil Durk’s arrest has gone viral on social media. Rapper King Von, who was shot and killed in 2020, is the center of this investigation.
Lil Durk is being held in Broward County Jail in Florida without bond. This is a grave allegation against Lil Durk.
The OTF (Only the Family) crew, which Lil Durk started in 2010, has been indicted. However, Lil Durk’s arrest details are still a little sketchy.
But the fate of his former crew appears to be sealed, especially since the five men are all implicated in the death of rapper King Von.
Some of OTF’s activities were traced to credit card purchases for plane tickets and cars. These plane tickets were purchased for flights back to Chicago.
That is after Sayiaya Robinson’s (Quando Rondo) cousin was gunned down. As I mentioned, it was alleged Quando was the intended target.
At the time, Saiyiaya and Quando were in the car when he was fatally wounded by gun fire. Sadly, this is not the first time Lil Durk has been in trouble with the law, as the New York Post reported.
In May 2019, Lil Durk was charged with a criminal attempt to commit murder. Also, the rapper was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
In addition, he was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and gang activity.
