Lawsuit Against Tiffany Haddish Is Dropped
Lawsuit Against Tiffany Haddish Is Dropped. The child molestation case is no more. Therefore, Haddish can move on.
Jane Doe Dismissed The Case With Prejudice
Lawsuit Against Tiffany Haddish Is Dropped. However, we don’t know if Spear’s case has been dropped. What we do know is that Haddish has been cleared. Apparently, Jane Doe had a change of heart.
Or at least, that is what it appears to be. Although, it does seem a little suspicious. Especially since Jane Doe was adamant about what happened. According to TMZ, Jane Doe made these remarks,
“My family and I have known Tiffany Haddish for many years – and we now know that she would never harm me or my brother or help anyone else do anything that could harm us. We wish Tiffany the best and are glad that we can all put this behind us.”
Did Jane Doe backpedal? In other words, she has recanted her story. For lack of better words. What does this really mean?
When a court dismissed “with prejudice”, it means Jane Doe can’t refile the same claim, as reported by Cornell Law. So, Jane Doe has ended this. Therefore, it would have to be the other person who makes a claim.
Remember, it was alleged that she and her young brother were sexually assaulted. Important to note, Haddish admitted she regretted being a part of the skit. Some people have allegedly seen the video footage.
In fact, some thought the skit was very inappropriate. For that reason, Haddish spoke out about her part in the situation. This is what Haddish said,
“I know people have a bunch of questions. I get it. I’m right there with you. Unfortunately, because there is an ongoing legal case, there’s very little that I can say right now.”
She went on to say,
“But, clearly, while this sketch was intended to be comedic, it wasn’t funny at all – and I deeply regret having agreed to act in it. I really look forward to being able to share a lot more about this situation as soon as I can.”
Clearly, Haddish expressed her remorse. Apparently, it was enough for Jane Doe. Otherwise, the case would be moving forward. On the other hand, there could have been a financial settlement.
After all, Spears mentioned Jane Doe was trying to extort money. Having said this, I am sure Haddish is glad this is over. Now, the quesition is, will Haddish career be tarnished?
Will she have to do some damage control? Inquiring minds want to know?
