Kirk Franklin’s Son Arrested. Kerrion Franklin has been detained in Los Angeles. Sources are saying different things.
Kerrion Franklin Detained
Late Sunday night, gospel legend Kirk Franklins’ son went viral. This time, for being arrested in Beverly Hills.
The arrest occurred early Sunday morning.
Unfortunately, he’s spending a few days in a “permanent residence,” within the jail.
The sheriffs’ department states he’s being held without bail.
According to a Los Angeles sheriff department report, he’ll appear in court Tuesday.
So far, it’s not clear why exactly he’s in custody. We do know he’s booked on a misdemeanor.

According to LRL, Franklin’s taillight was out. Resulting in him being pulled over.
And the police found a gun in the vehicle.
However, some sources say the car Franklin was driving belongs to a deceased woman.
Subsequently, social media users speculate if there’s any connection.
Of course, we don’t know who the car belongs to just yet. Things are developing still.

At one point Kirk and Kerrion Franklin appeared to have a close relationship.
As Kerrion grew older, apparently they became more estranged.
In March 2021, the father-son pair stirred up commotion that left the saints talking.
Kerrion shared an audio clip of singer/songwriter Kirk Franklin yelling obscenities at him.
As a result, Kirk can be heard saying:
“You need to get your skinny motherfucking ass back out the goddamn way before I put my foot in your ass. I will break your neck nigga, don’t you ever disrespect me.”
Undoubtedly, the audio went viral and Kirk received mixed feedback.
Importantly, some people couldn’t understand how a gospel singer and preacher could say those things.

As a result, Kerrion responded with:
“This is why I’m done. No father should speak to their children like this.”
Needless to say, the famed musician issued a public apology.
Kirk explained that their family issues aren’t new and they’ve addressed them before.
We don’t know the outcome, but hope for the best.
