Gunna Denied Bond, Judge Threatens Arrest Of Unruly Supporters In Court
Gunna denied bond for the third time.
You will recall he was locked up back in January on RICO charges., along with Young Thug.
While he was denied bond twice before, supporters filled the courtroom hoping this time would be different.
But it was not to be, as Atlanta Judge Ural Glanville denies Gunna again.
Therefore, the 29-year-old rapper/singer/songwriter – real name Sergio Giavanni Kitchens will have to remain behind bars.
Upon the decision, it got pretty heated up in the courtroom.
Gunna’s supporters, which became increasingly unruly, caused the judge to threaten arrests.
The YSL rapper, who was denied bond three times in the past four months, does not believe he deserves to remain in jail while he awaits his trial.
He is involved in the 88-page, 57-count indictment along with 24 others.
After the loudly audible outcry, Judge Glanville weighed contempt of court charges for the onlookers.
Things soon quieted down.
Steve Sadow, Gunna’s attorney, had this to say about the decision –
“Although we must respect the Court’s ruling, we know it is wrong, Gunna is innocent of the charge against him and should not be in jail pending trial.”
The trial is set for January 9, 2023.
