BMF Tonesa Welch Biopic!!!!! A second “BMF” biopic, starring Tonesa Welch is currently in the works. This wouldn’t be the first time that Tonesa has told her life story as she has an episode on the hit BET show, American Gangster: Trap Queens.

Who is Tonesa Welsh?????

Welch is born and raised in Detroit, MI and a mother of three boys. Welch is the longtime girlfriend to BMF co-founder, Southwest T, the younger brother to Big Meech.

The two have no children together, but currently resides in California. Welch was raised with three brothers by her mother and step-father.

In 1992, prior to meeting Southwest T, Welch married her oldest sons father, but the two divorced 8 years later. Welch graduated from Cooley Highschool in Detroit, MI. Directly after high school, Welch studied Business Administration at Wayne County Community College in Detroit for 2 years.

In the early 90’s Welch found the “street life” and getting fast money to be more intriguing, so Welch started selling drugs to furnish the lavish lifestyle she desired.

In 2005, Welch was indicted for drug trafficking and laundering money connected to the BMF organization. Welch served 57 months for the charges in two federal prisons, both in California.

Welch returned home to Los Angeles, California in December of 2012. She was on probation for 3 years and completed her probation in early 2016.

Tonesa Welch: From Being The First Lady Of “BMF” To Movie Producer!!!!!

According to deadline.com, BET+ has greenlit the biopic The First Lady of BMF: The Tonesa Welch Story.

Firstly, actress and producer Vivica A. Fox is set to direct the series, with former TV judge Greg Mathis executive producing.

The biopic charts Welch’s rise from teen mom to drug dealer to being labeled by federal prosecutors as “The First Lady Of BMF”.

Welch tells a harrowing story about riches, remorse, personal responsibility, and redemption.

The movie is set among the lavishness and extreme violence of Detroit’s crack era and America’s “war on drugs”.

First featured as part of the BET+ hit unscripted series, American Gangster: Trap Queens, which is a true crime series about some of America’s most notorious female gangsters reignited interest in the history of “BMF”.

Secondly, Welch’s character is portrayed by actress and businesswoman, La La Anthony in the hit Starz show, “BMF”.

Lastly, production on the movie is set to begin in April and will debut on BET+ later this year.

In conclusion, I am very much familiar with her story as I am a huge fan of the BET+ series, American Gangster: Trap Queens and am interested in hearing about her story in her words!!!!!
